Brush Students Participating in Art Show Sponsored by Beachwood Arts Council

Lauren Radaker “Afternoon Nap”

It is a pleasure to announce that Brush students Sarah Messina, Ann Mastandrea, Maryha Smith, and Lauren Radaker will be participating in the Beachwood Arts Council’s 22nd Annual Juried Regional High School Student Art Show! Sarah Messina will be featuring her work titled “Tea for the Pharaoh” while Ann Mastandrea will be presenting her artwork called "Goodbye Saint.” "Maryha Smith will be showing “Hope for the Best” and Lauren Radaker will be exhibiting “Afternoon Nap” at the event. Under the guidance of art teachers Sarah Curry, Hadley Conner, April Lewis and Melissa Quinlan, the above students will have the opportunity to display their creativity and hard work.

Artwork by students from 24 area high schools will be judged by Grafton J. Nunes, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Cleveland Institute of Art, Steven Hartman, Owner and Founder of Contessa Gallery in Legacy Village, and Sandra Noble, Adjunct Instructor from Case Western Reserve University. Eight top awards will be announced during the Opening Reception and Awards Program, and winners will receive cash prizes. In addition, all exhibiting students in attendance will be recognized for their participation and efforts.

Please join in honoring SEL School’s student participants at the Art Show Opening Reception and Awards Program on Sunday, February 12 from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the Beachwood Community Center, 25225 Fairmount Boulevard, Beachwood, 44122. The awards program begins promptly at 3 p.m. The student art exhibition will be on view February 12 through March 5, 2017 at the Beachwood Community Center. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For additional information, please contact Paula Rollins, 216-789-3995 or [email protected].
