Brush Students Shine at 37th Annual Scholastics Art & Writing Competition

The noteworthy talents of students at Brush High School was on full display at the 37th Annual Scholastics Art & Writing Competition, as eighteen pieces of student artwork were named Scholastics 2017 Regional Winners! Casey Brower received a Gold Key Award, the highest honor available for her photography selection titled Wyoming, which will advance to the national competition in New York City during the spring of 2017. Brush High School also featured seven Silver Key award winners and ten Honorable Mentions at the competition! All awarded pieces were reviewed and selected from nearly 3,000 student entries by a panel of local professional artists, art educators, writers and writing educators.

Artwork by the students above, including pieces by other area students will be on display in the Cleveland Institute of Art gallery through February 2, 2017. The Cleveland Institute of Art is located at 11610 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44106.  It is with a great sense of ‘Arc’ pride that the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools congratulate all Brush Scholastics 2017 Regional Winners for their impressive work!
