Greenview Students Get Poetry Published
46 Greenview students have been selected to have their Haiku poems published in the Young American Poetry Digest, National Schools Project’s 2017 poetry book this Fall! Poems were selected by a panel of educators who evaluated the overall quality of the poem based on the students’ age and grade level, and determined by creativity, age-appropriate language, sensory and figurative images, structure, and poetic techniques. The poems were written in Mrs. Laverdiere’s and Ms. Deutsch’s library technology classes as part of the Amazingly Awesome Haiku Project. Way to go, Greenview Arcs poets! Books can be ordered at youngpoets.com
