Greenview Art Students Participate in Arts and Crafts with Senior Citizens

A handful of very respectful and enthused sixth graders from Greenview Upper Elementary School recently took their arts skills on the road, as they joined senior citizens for an interactive and intergenerational afternoon of crafts. Led by the overall direction of 6th grade art teacher, Mrs. Susan Foley, these students led senior citizens at the South Euclid Community Center through two activities, including the stenciling of pillow cases and painting of ceramic bowls. Senior citizens took instruction from Mrs. Foley and the students, in a collaborative session just following their lunch. Senior citizens stenciled and they painted with a variety of colors and creativity. Superintendent Linda N. Reid and Greenview Principal Mrs. Kelly Murphy also participated in the activities. The South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools values the partnerships that have been created with the senior citizens in both community. Congratulations to the sixth graders for their proper instruction and help, and a warm thank you to Mrs. Foley for her leadership of the afternoon.
