Memorial Science Expo Showcases Student Creativity and Skills
expo

Memorial Junior High School recently hosted its annual Science Expo, as its yearly showcase of the project-based learning and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (S.T.E.M.) skills that are being applied to real-world exercises. This year, 8th grade students had a particular focus on genetics as a theme for many of the students’ respective displays. Seventh graders took special interest in displays that involved the Periodic Table of the Elements. Several hundred displays and presentations were viewed by parents during the evenings of Wednesday, November 7, 2018, and Thursday, November 8, 2018. Best of all, many of the Science Expo displays were presented on Chromebooks, since the building has a 1-to-1 ratio of the devices for each of the students. Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade students of Memorial Junior High School for utilizing their creative and problem-solving skills for this year’s Science Expo.
