Third graders at Sunview Elementary laced up their athletic shoes for the annual Third Grade Walk a Thon from 9 to 11 AM on Wednesday, October 03, 2018. Each student was given an official “Class of 2019” event t-shirt and was joined by teachers, parents and PTA members to walk the shady, tree-lined sidewalks at Brainard Park. Students collected pledges prior to the event from family and friends based on a specific amount per lap completed or a flat amount of money. To help track their progress, students had a hole punched in their name tag for each quarter-mile lap completed. All proceeds from the event will help support end-of year activities, including a dinner and dance party with parents. A big thank-you to all parents, friends, and community members for supporting the Third Grade Walk a Thon and the South Euclid Lyndhurst City Schools!
