Channel 3 News Visits Rowland
ch 3

Channel 3 News Today Anchors Tiffany Tarpley and Will Ujek visited Rowland Elementary on Tuesday, September 25th to help deliver the morning announcements.  The visit was part of an ongoing news segment where both news anchors visit area elementary schools to interact with and help students deliver the daily announcements over the P.A. system.  Tiffany and Will joined Rowland students Tyson Hereford and Layla King along with music teacher Daniel Corrigan in reading the Rowland Promise, reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, as well as announcing the daily lunch menu and weather forecast.  Principal Maleeka Bussey had the chance to join the fun by sharing in a brief interview the many reasons Rowland Elementary is a great place to learn.  In addition, Tiffany and Will visited Mrs. Jennifer Difrancesco’s 2nd grade classroom to watch their daily morning routine as part of the building-wide Conscious Discipline program.  During the morning greeting, Mrs. Difrancesco led the students in reviewing the previous school day and identifying areas of success and improvement.  The class also selected a weekly act of kindness which involved picking up trash in their classroom and building.  The news spotlight of Rowland Elementary will air on WKYC-Channel 3 News in the coming weeks.  Stay tuned for more details on when to watch Rowland’s special spotlight on Channel 3!
