Third graders at Adrian Elementary participated in an interactive fire safety learning experience courtesy of the South Euclid Fire Department on Thursday, May 16, 2019.  The program began with a presentation in the Media Center by Fire Inspector Scott Sebastian regarding important home fire safety tips. Students were able to ask questions and received a home fire safety plan to complete and review with their families. Students then rotated in small groups to participate in a simulated fire safety drill inside of a small trailer outfitted to resemble the interior of a home. Led by Mr. Sebastian, the students practiced how to safely exit a home in case of a fire.  Students also had the opportunity to meet SPARKY the Fire Dog® Robot and members of the Explorer Fire and EMS Training Program provided through the Excel TECC Career Consortium.  Thank you to the South Euclid Fire Department for taking the opportunity to educate our students on the importance of fire safety!
