Brush Art Students Display Work at Cleveland Institute of Art

Twenty-four of Brush High School’s finest students will have their artistic expressions on display in the local Scholastic Art and Writing Competition at the Cleveland Institute of Art between Tuesday, January 16, 2018 and Friday, February 2, 2018. This competition, which highlights the hard work of local artists in grades 7 through 12 throughout the area, is a nationally credited arts awards program in which the SEL Schools has actively and successfully participated. The 24 students whose artwork will be on display have received one of three honors, Gold Key, Silver Key or Honorable Mention, and were evaluated against more than 1,800 students who ultimately submitted more than 3,100 pieces of art and writing samples.  Those who have earned top prize are considered a “Gold Key Winner,” and will go on to place at the national competition which is held annually in New York City. Visit the Cleveland Institute of Art to support the art achievement of our students. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Gold Key Winners include: Jonathan Curtis, Alila Davis, Elena Flores, Autumn McDonald, Chassidy Smedley and Anthony Velez. Silver Key Winners include: Evan Brower, Kayla Feagin, Julia Kiefer and Autumn McDonald.
