Elementary Students Learn Valuable Lessons from Cleveland Play House Production

The Cleveland Play House recently visited all three of the district’s K-3 elementary schools to perform a classroom matinee performance of Together.  The special assembly was made possible through a K-3 initiative by the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools Pupil Services Office.   Created by internationally renowned playwright Christopher Parks, Together tells the story of Ms. VieVie, a teacher who cares deeply about her students and seeks to help them succeed both inside and outside the classroom.  Using song, dance, poetry and stories, the performers taught students the importance of showing respect, believing in themselves and to not be afraid to ask others for help.  Student participation was a major part of the play as well, as students clapped and sang songs while seated, while others had the opportunity to act alongside the professional performers!  A big thank you to Cleveland Play House for providing our students a fun and interactive learning experience!
