Memorial Promotes Positive Behavior with PBIS Event

7th and 8th graders at Memorial Junior High participated in a building-wide PBIS event on Friday, September 22nd, which featured a wide variety of fun activities, including a basketball tournament, dodgeball, football, karaoke, music provided by a DJ and dancing, face painting and more. The event also served as a great way to celebrate a successful start to the 2017-18 school year. PBIS, which stands for Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports, is a system designed to promote positive behaviors throughout the school year by rewarding students with fun school-wide events. The PBIS system also promotes positive behavior using Arc Bucks, daily rewards that students receive for “doing the right thing at the right time.” Students can then enter daily and weekly prize drawings with their Arc Bucks. Great job Memorial!
