Brush Holds Pep Rally to Celebrate Historic Home Playoff Game

Brush High School held an energetic and ‘Arc-pride’ filled pep rally on Friday, November 3rd to cheer on the Varsity Football Team on the eve of their home playoff matchup against Hudson High School.  The start of the 2017 post-season marked the first time in school history that Brush hosted an OHSAA football playoff game!  The pep rally began with impressive performances by the Brush Marching Band, Cheerleaders and Arcettes, as students watched from the packed bleachers in the Welser Main Gym.  Head Varsity Football Coach Jeff Fink energized the crowd by encouraging them to attend the home playoff game and show off their ‘Arc pride.’  The entire Varsity Football Team was then introduced to loud cheers from students and staff.  To conclude the pep rally, students, teachers and staff participated in a spirited “I Believe That We Will Win” chant. The energy and excitement from the pep rally carried over to the home playoff game on Friday night, as Brush defeated Hudson, 26-20, in a thrilling overtime victory thanks to a game-winning touchdown by Quarterback Godwin Joe.  Read a full recap of the Arcs’ exciting playoff victory from Cleveland.com.  Way to go Arcs!
