The Brush High School Mock Trial Team continues to press on during the competition season, incorporating hard work, persistence and a little extra and creative help from the advisory staff. Most recently competing against well-known debate powerhouse teams in Northeast Ohio, advisor Ms. Vikki Pruitte-Sorrells has incorporated the use of Dr. Pippa Henderson Carter to help provide some useful insight to our team. Exposing the Brush students to the leadership of Dr. Henderson Carter, who advised and coached state finalist teams in the past, as well as competing against the best schools in the area have helped to improve the Brush High Mock Trial team. In addition, to further prepare this team for higher competition in the future, Ms. Pruitte-Sorrells has plans to reach out to schools for potential scrimmages.
