Boys Golf Team Wins NOC Championship: First One in 20 Years!!!
This week, the Brush Varsity Golf team rallied on Monday at the conference tournament at Congress Lakes Country Club to become outright league champions! Entering the day, the team was trailing Valley Forge and tied with Shaker. After playing a difficult front nine, the team built a huge lead over Valley Forge but still trailed Shaker by three strokes. Sticking with and trusting a simple game plan of avoiding the out of bounds areas at all costs, the squad managed to pick up several shots over the course of the back nine to narrowily defeat Shaker by three points. When Normandy also managed to defeat Valley Forge, the team catapulted all the way to first place in the league standings. Team members include six seniors: Austin Brizee, Cody Marko, Dylan Pollack, Eli Shlonsky, Gustaf Tapper, and Luke Wittke. This is our first golf championship in 20 years!
