Brush National Honor Society Students Lend a Helping Hand to Cleveland DVCAC
Brush National Honor Society Students Lend a Helping Hand to Cleveland DVCACOn Friday, April 12th, students from the Brush National Honor Society delivered assorted supplies and gifts to the Cleveland Domestic Violence and Child Advocacy Center. Donations were collected from all six district schools, as well as the Board of Education, and included over 40 boxes of supplies and $320 in gift cards. The generous donations will be distributed to the hundreds of women, children, and families served by the DVCAC. The local organization is dedicated to providing resources and support for victims of domestic violence and child abuse, as well as education efforts to promote community awareness. In addition, the DVCAC is active in advocacy efforts focused on ending domestic violence and child abuse. The annual drive to support the DVCAC is dedicated to the memory of Brush Social Studies teacher, Marci (Gorospe) Kornblut. Many thanks to the students, teachers, and staff of the SEL Schools for helping to make the drive a success!
