Members of Local Church Provide Special Spring Break Treat for Rowland and Adrian Students
On Thursday, March 21st, nearly twenty members of Mayfield Church met in the gymnasium of Rowland Elementary to put together over 700 snack bags for students at Rowland and Adrian Elementary Schools. The snack bags featured a wide variety of delicious snacks, including apples, crackers, pretzels, and cookies, and will be given to students on Friday, March 22nd, to enjoy over Spring Break. While this marked the very first giveaway of the snack bags, it was not the first time Mayfield Church has partnered with Rowland Elementary School. The unique partnership began a year-and-a-half earlier, when congregation members, learning that many of the students wanted swings for the playground, made the dream a reality by purchasing the school a brand new swing set. In addition, many members of the congregation are proud parents of children enrolled at Rowland Elementary and other buildings in the South Euclid-Lyndhurst City Schools. The staff and students of Rowland Elementary School would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to all members of Mayfield Church for providing the delicious snack bags!
