Brush Student Awarded Medal of Recognition at Regional Skills USA CompetitionRobbie Jenkins, a student at Brush HS and participant in the Excel TECC program, was one of six area students awarded a medal of recognition for their performance at the regional Skills USA Competition. Currently enrolled in the Business Academy program, Robbie earned a bronze medal for her impressive performance in the Job Interview category. Robbie will join the other five medal winners at the upcoming state level Skills USA competition, which will occur April 23-24 in Columbus, OH. The annual event is sponsored by Skills USA, a non-profit organization which partners with teachers and students to provide education and training for skilled service, technical and trade career fields. The Excel TECC program is a unique partnership of nine area school districts to provide interested students the opportunity to complete a 2-year program with a specific academic or career focus. The wide range of programs offered includes Business and Administration, Health Sciences, and Construction Technologies. During the course of the program, students have the opportunity to earn college credit, complete an internship, and gain real-world experience in their selected career field. Congratulations and good luck to Robbie at the upcoming state-level Skills USA Competition!
