Rowland and Adrian Elementary were each recently awarded a set of 10 Kindle e-readers by the National PTA, in support of their participation in the PTA Family Reading Experience. The national program is designed to improve the reading fluency, comprehension, and overall interest for students in grades K-5, and features a wide variety of exciting activities and books. In addition to classroom use, students will also have access to various take-home activities, which will promote family participation and support of the program’s literacy goals. Rowland and Adrian Elementary were two of 85 schools selected by the National PTA to participate in the innovative program. The staffs of both Rowland and Adrian Elementary wish to thank the National PTA and local PTA for their support, and are extremely excited to use the new technology and tools to promote student literacy and achievement!
