South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools Celebrates Commencement at the Palace Theater
South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools Celebrates Commencement at the Palace TheaterWords of triumph, dignity and completion were delivered throughout the evening as the Class of 2013 of Charles F. Brush High School celebrated their formal commencement ceremony on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Performed at the glorious Palace Theater in downtown Cleveland’s Playhouse Square District, approximately 335 graduates in the Class of 2013 received their respective diplomas before an audience of nearly 2,500 family members, friends and special guests. Superintendent Linda N. Reid delivered remarks about the graduates’ New Day upon which each student now embarks, and High School principal Kenya Harrington shared words of encouragement in presenting this class to the Board of Education and administration. Board President Cassandra Jones encouraged graduates with special remarks as well. A number of SEL graduates from the Class of 2013 shared emotional messages carrying the theme to ‘always remember,’ various aspects of their time at the SEL Schools. Graduates were encouraged to remember gratitude, to have a certain passion for life’s pursuits and to have patience. These messages were delivered to include famous quotes from respected leaders throughout our collective histories, including President Barack Obama, Harriet Tubman, Benjamin Franklin and Nelson Mandela.

In all, a sophisticated and dignified ceremony marked the final official component for members of the Class of 2013 in connection with the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools. Best of luck and warm regards to this departing class in each member’s respective future plans.
