Sunview Students Stimulated by STEM Lab Activity

Sunview Elementary School students are discovering a new world of experimentation combined with education as part of the district’s effort to help bolster the science and math curriculum through the construction of STEM labs in various buildings. First graders now have the capability to log data through hand-held devices that allow them to track the temperature of their hands and the temperature of hot and cold water. Acting as young scientists, students are actually learning the scientific process, which includes creating a hypothesis, experimenting, and drawing conclusions, and then recording accurate data. This district-wide effort to enhance Science, Technology, Engineering and Math skills (S.T.E.M.) is helping to prepare students with 21st Century Skills.
