Memorial PBIS Event Features Students VS Staff Basketball Game

Students at Memorial Junior High were rewarded for meeting the PBIS goals for the month of December with an opportunity to cheer on fellow students as they played staff members in a fun and light hearted basketball game on Thursday, December 19th. This month’s PBIS theme was “Respect without Rebuttal”, which focused on the importance of following directions and accepting consequences without responding with a rebuttal or challenge regarding the teacher’s directive. Only those students who received no rebuttal referrals and out of school suspensions were eligible to participate in the PBIS event. This marks the fourth year the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) program has been implemented at Memorial Junior High. The program is designed to model and reinforce positive behaviors by setting quarterly goals and rewarding those students who meet the goal’s requirements.

Congratulations to all of the students who met the PBIS goals for the month of December!
