Scholastic Arts and Writing Competition Winners

The Scholastics Arts and Writing Competition is an opportunity for students to be recognized at both the regional and national level. Cuyahoga County’s finest young talent shines in this crowd-pleasing exhibition, located at the Cleveland Institute of Art in University Circle. This year, over 1,200 students in grades 7-12 created and submitted for judging more than 3,000 pieces of artwork and writing samples. Gold Key winners continue to the national competition in New York City.

The following Brush High School students will be recognized this year:

Gold Key recipients: Eden Allen, Rachel Feinstein, Nick Jarm, Georgie Henry

Silver Key recipients: Brian Bollinger, Anna Fox (2), Ava Glessner, Conor Heisler, Tyler Hughley, Levi Steverding

Honorable Mention recipients: Eden Allen, Jane Dickerson, Camille Fine (2), Ava Glessner, Tyler Hughley (2), Darius Williams (2)

The Cleveland Institute of Art is located at 11141 East Boulevard in Cleveland. The exhibition will be on display from January 15-January 30, 2015.

• Monday-Thursday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Friday: 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
• Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Sunday: 1-5 p.m.
• The gallery will be closed January 19, 2015

Special Events include:
• January 14, 4-6 p.m.: Honorable Mention Reception, Reinberger Gallery, Gund Building
• January 17, 1 p.m.: Gold Key Ceremony, Aiken Auditorium, Gund Building
• January 17, 2-4 p.m.: Gold and Silver Key Reception, Reinberger Gallery, Gund Building
