Brush Student Participates in Violins of Hope

Congratulations to Darby Shafron, a Brush sophomore, who recently participated in the PBS/Ideastream special Violins of Hope. Darby was proud to have been given the opportunity to play the "Klezmer Violin" while the Violins of Hope exhibit was in Cleveland. She has been complimented numerous times on her skill with the violin, and always shares that her training is through South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools and she has never taken private lessons.

Darby has participated in the SEL Orchestra Program since the fifth grade. She is a First Violin in the Brush Orchestra, participates in Chamber Ensemble, Drama Club, Soundsation Show Choir, Key Club, Book Club, is part of the Yearbook Staff and Library Club. She is also a Student Teacher at Temple Tifereth Israel Sunday School, is an active participant in the Youth Group, and a member of the Klezmer U band.
