Brush Has Strong Showing at 36th Annual Scholastics Art & Writing Competition

Brush High School would like to congratulate Danae Scoville and Lexi Steverding for both receiving the Gold Key Award, the highest merit at the 36th Annual Scholastics Art & Writing Competition. Danae’s mixed media piece titled “Aquatic Blues” and Lexi’s painting titled “Fire and Ice” will continue on to be judged at the national competition in New York City. The Scholastics Art & Writing Competition received 3,000 pieces of artwork and writing samples showcasing Cuyahoga County’s finest young talent. Submissions by all finalists will be on display from January 14th – 30th at the Reinberger Gallery at The Cleveland Institute of Art, located at 11610 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH. Brush High School was well represented at the event, receiving a total of twenty-two awards. A special thank-you to Sarah Curry and Hadley Conner for their hard work and dedication on behalf of their students.
