Brush High School Culinary Students Perform Well at Regional Competition

Brush High School students enrolled at the Culinary Program through EXCEL TECC recently made strong finishes at the FCCLA regional competition. Nya Hill finished with a gold medal in the pastry arts for her wonderful dish. The senior team, which included Brush High Senior Macalah Lee and two other students from nearby districts, also secured a gold medal in the overall team competition. The junior team included Brush High student Sarah Messina, and they too, finished with a gold medal. This regional competition was sponsored by FCCLA—Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, and which is a non-profit career and technical student organization for those enrolled in the Family and Consumer Sciences. Special thank you to the leadership team and culinary program advisors at EXCEL TECC. Congratulations to these Brush students!
