Brush High School students enrolled at the Culinary Program through EXCEL TECC recently made strong finishes at the FCCLA regional competition. Nya Hill finished with a gold medal in the pastry arts for her wonderful dish. The senior team, which included Brush High Senior Macalah Lee and two other students from nearby districts, also secured a gold medal in the overall team competition. The junior team included Brush High student Sarah Messina, and they too, finished with a gold medal. This regional competition was sponsored by FCCLA—Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, and which is a non-profit career and technical student organization for those enrolled in the Family and Consumer Sciences.
