Greenview Hosts Fall Fun Activities

Students at Greenview Upper Elementary had the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun and exciting fall themed activities on Friday, October 28th. As part of Greenview’s PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention System) program, students in grades 4-6 who met the behavior goals for the month of October attended a grade level dance in the school gym. 4th grade students participated in a Fall Festival during the afternoon, which featured fun games provided by the Greenview PTA, as well as a parade through the hallways in creative and fun costumes.

5th and 6th grade students had the opportunity to visit a Haunted STEM lab, which featured spooky decorations and lights, various laboratory concoctions, informative exhibits on spiders and a special “touch activity” which required students to place their hands inside a box to discover its mysterious contents. The Haunted STEM lab was a huge hit with the students and was the result of a collaborative effort between staff members and PTA parents. Greenview staff members Erin Macsurak, J.C. Commander and Corey Russell helped to design the layout of the room, while PTA parents, including Jonelle Levenson, Stefanie Rhine and Lesa Droe, helped to bring the Haunted STEM lab to life by generously donating decorations and helping to set-up the lab.

Congratulations to every student who participated in the October PBIS program! Finally, a big THANK-YOU to the Greenview PTA for helping to support this year’s fall festivities!
