MAC Scholars Complete Another Successful Year
Students in the SE-L MAC Scholar program ended the 2010-2011 school year with a long list of accomplishments. These students worked hard all year to learn how to be an outstanding SE-L student and what it means to give back to the community. Volunteer projects ranged from making posters to promote anti-bullying initiatives, preparing goodie bags for 10th graders during OGT week and raising funds for tsunami relief in Japan. Each school also invited a variety of dynamic speakers to discuss important topics, such as the importance of education. The program also plans to organize a service project that will adopt a school under Governor Kasich’s initiative on increasing the graduation rate as well as closing the achievement gap. Thank you to all of the MAC Scholars, MAC Rubies, MAC Gems, MAC JEWELS, MAC Diamonds and MAC Emeralds for your hard work.
