On Friday, October 29, 2010, in a ceremony at the Pentagon, 1991 Brush graduate Daniel A. Janning was promoted to Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force.
He is an alumnus of Boy Scout Troop 424 of Lyndhurst, OH. He is also a 1995 graduate of The Ohio State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering,
Lt. Col. Janning is currently the Chief, Operations Branch, Current
Operations Division, Air Force Operations Group, Headquarters Air Force,
Pentagon, Washington, DC.
He has earned the Command Space Badge, and the Basic Missile
Operations Badge. He has also been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal,
the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Air Fore Commendation Medal with
three Oak Leaf Clusters, the Air Force Achievement Medal with one Oak Leaf
Cluster, and the Air Force Recognition Medal.
In addition to his stateside service, Lt. Col. Janning has deployed to
Greece, Germany, and Iraq in support of the Global War on Terrorism, as well
as Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqui Freedom.
