Five Students Selected to Study in China
Five students in Brush’s Chinese language class have been selected by Confucius Institute to study abroad in China. Walter Gay III, Zakchary Chaikin, Fansford Bailey Jr., and eighth grader Hailey Hoyat will participate at the China Bridge Summer Camp in the Jiang Su province. The camp fee will be covered by Confucius Institute.
To help make this trip possible, foreign language department chair Jonetta Anderson asked a few of her neighbors and co-workers to pitch in to help offset some of the trip’s other expenses. Thanks to Dr. Margret Mitchell-Ismaila, Dr. Major Harris, Ann Simpson, Carol Diedrichs-Himes and Lynne Fearer.
