The Brush swimming and diving team had one of the best district meets in recent history. All of our swimmers performed admirably.
Girls:
Alexa Hoynack: 50 Free 43rd with a time of 26.34 and 100 Back: 31st 105.22
Alex Iosue: 500 Free: 42nd with a time of 5:35.54- a four second drop.
Both had great performances for being underclassmen and look forward to a promising career in the near future!
Boys:
200 Medley Relay: David Krosin, Josh Kudrna, Michael Kaplan, and Octavious Jones: 15th place with a time of 1:44.07- 1.6 seconds faster than the previous week
400 Freestyle Relay: Josh Kudrna, Tom Horsfall, David Krosin, and Michael Kaplan took 17th with a time of 3:27.63 a 1.2 second drop from the previous week.
Michael Kaplan performed extraordinarily well and became the first swimmer from Brush High School to qualify for the State Tournament in over 11 years!
He tied for 5th place in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 21.64 and is currently placed 16th in the state tournament. Kaplan placed 6th in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 47.71 and is placed 23rd in the state tournament. Both are school records.
