Memorial student Tyler Wynne and Greenview student Taylor Wynne were very busy this past weekend representing the SE-L School District, paying tribute to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
On Thursday, January 13, Taylor participated in the State-wide Annual Commemorative Celebration in Columbus. As one of the first-place winners of the 2010 Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Oratorical Contest, Taylor secured her place to present her winning speech. Both Taylor and Tyler had the opportunity to meet with Rev. Joel King, the first cousin of Martin L. King Jr.
On Sunday, January 17, Tyler and Taylor were invited to speak at Cuyahoga Community College’s, “Celebrate the Dream” program. Present at the program was Dr. Jerry Thornton, President of Tri-C, Jeff Johnson, an investigative journalist and political commentator, and Darrielle Snipes, WKYC Channel 3 News reporter.
