Amir Idris Speaks at Cleveland Clinic MLK Celebration
On Friday January 14, 2011, Amir Idris, a 6th grade MAC Scholar, was invited to speak at the Cleveland Clinic's 18th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Celebration. Amir spoke on the topic, "Inspired by Dr. King's Dream" and received a standing ovation from the audience. The crowd was very impressed with Amir's oratorical skills and his poise. Amir spoke just prior to the President and CEO of Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Cosgrove taking the stage. Ms. Kirtz, Amir's mother, hosted 6 other MAC Scholars who were able to attend the celebration breakfast at the Intercontinental Hotel along with their advisor, Ms. Wilkes. It was a fantastic program and Amir represented Greenview and SE-L very well!
