Memorial MAC Scholars & Jewels Learn About the Underground Railroad
Memorial's MAC Scholars and Jewels recently had the opportunity to visit Hale Farm in Peninsula, Ohio to learn about the Underground Railroad. Students came away from the experience with a better understanding and appreciation of what some African-Americans had to endure to get their freedom. Kiena Hughley and Charlotte Eiland are the co-advisors for the Jewels program and Alysia Hamilton-Beeler and Heath Horton are the co-advisors for the MAC Scholars program at Memorial.
