Brush Students Help Elementary Students Celebrate Black History Month
Each year the International Reading Association in conjunction with the National Council of Teachers of English celebrates Black History month with a National African-American Read-In. South Euclid –Lyndhurst schools celebrated its tenth year on February 7th, by having Brush High School students visit the elementary schools. The students read books to the children authored or illustrated by African-Americans. The children enjoyed visiting with the Brush students as well as being introduced to outstanding books written or illustrated by African-Americans.
