Superintendent Linda N. Reid to Deliver State of the Schools Address on May 21, 2013
Superintendent Linda N. Reid will formally deliver a ‘State of the Schools’ presentation on behalf of The South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at the district administrative office on the second floor. The ‘State of the Schools’ presentation is a comprehensive culmination of the work that many individuals from the community developed through the strategic planning process, which began in September 2012. 
World Renowned Cavani Quartet Visits Adrian Elementary
Cleveland’s world renowned Cavani Quartet made a special appearance at Adrian Elementary on Tuesday, May 7th, as part of their Team Up with Music program. The innovative and interactive program is geared toward students in grades 3-5 and involves a close, interactive experience with the performers.  
Greenview Celebrates Reading with Celebrity Guests!
Superintendent Reid, along with Lyndhurst Mayor Cicero and South Euclid Mayor Welo join in the fun of Right to Read Week!  
Rowland Second Graders Raise Over $1,000 for St. Jude’s Math-a-Thon
Fifteen Rowland second graders recently participated in a Math-a-Thon to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, one of the world’s premier cancer centers. Together with Rowland’s Math Specialist, Marcia Armbruster, a total of $1,207.53 was raised in support of this worthy cause!
 
Brush Students Give Strong Finish at Statewide MLK Oratorical Competition
Brush High School was well represented at the statewide finals for the Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Oratorical Contest, as Senior Jaylin Cody and Junior Danyelle Dukes were participants at the final competition on Friday, April 26th in Columbus. 
Sunview Students Jump Rope to Save Lives and Promote a Healthy Lifestyle
Students at Sunview Elementary recently raised $4,640 for the American Heart Association, as part of its Jump Rope for Heart program. The nationwide event is sponsored by the American Alliance for Physical Education, Health, Recreation and Dance Association.  
Get Your Brush Graduate Yard Sign - Orders Due This Friday, May 3rd
The After Prom Committee is taking orders for 18" x 24" graduation yard signs.  Signs are $15 and are available by pre-order.  The order form is attached to this story and orders are due May 3rd.  Signs can be picked up with Cap and Gowns.

Brush High School’s Ted Boughton Interviewed on WKYC-Channel 3 Promoting Prom Season!
Brush High School student Ted Boughton recently had the unique opportunity to be interviewed by the morning crew at WKYC-Channel 3 early a.m. program. On it, Boughton was interviewed for the much anticipated prom season.  
Adrian Students Receive Special Visit from Members of Historic Fraternity
Students in the Adrian Scholars program received a special visit from five members of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Delta Lambda Chapter, on Thursday, April 25th. Each of the active members shared with the students the importance of creating and achieving college and career goals, and how doing so helped them individually.  
ArcTech Students Attend City Club Youth Forum
On April 24th, students from ArcTech Academy had the opportunity to attended the City Club Youth Forum along with several other Cleveland area students on the topic of Street Violence: Guns, Gangs and Guiding our Youth.  The program was very informative as issues of peace, justice and empowerment were discussed along with strategies in guiding youth to a peaceful society.
