Dear Adrian Families,

 

Congratulations on the major successes achieved during the first half of the school year. The recognition that our building improved to 4.5 stars and improved Gap Closing to 5 stars is a testament to the work of our staff, students, and families. Our daily attendance has improved to 94%, and our Weekly Attendance Award incentivizes homerooms with perfect attendance for the week prior. Way to go, everyone, for helping to keep our students in class and on time for success. We’ve also launched our Outstanding Students honors who display character on a monthly basis at assemblies. Conscious Discipline Standards have also been successfully implemented, such as our Morning Greeting, Morning Meeting, Wish Wells, Safe Spaces, and breathing techniques, to create a more respectful, supportive, and compassionate environment. We are also excited about the academic strides in mathematics with our Envisions program. Students Solve & Share, a learning method by which they read a problem, are asked what they notice, and consider a solution. We observe students constantly talking and learning about math.

 

Students are to be reminded that their best effort is expected in everything they do. Remember to dress warm during cold winter temperatures, and if above 20 degrees, we will be going outside for recess. Parents are always encouraged to sign up for an Infinite Campus account if you have not already done so. Communication from school comes through Infinite Campus. Student fees and lunch balances can be paid, and emergency contact information is also completed through the Infinite Campus portal as well.
