Adrian Learning Resource Teacher Ms. Cathy Stang recently had the exciting opportunity to be interviewed by Fox-8 News Lead Meteorologist André Bernier for an upcoming episode of the WeatherJazz® podcast! Supported by a world-wide audience and hosted by Mr. Bernier, the WeatherJazz® podcast covers weather, science, and a wide variety of other topics. After being inspired by recent news coverage of the installation of a Little Free Library by Renee Baio, the wife of actor Scott Baio, Mr. Bernier decided to dedicate an entire episode to the global movement which promotes literacy and builds community pride through small, free-standing wooden structures containing books for people to take and share. Mr. Bernier found Ms. Stang’s contact info on the Little Free Library’s online map and contacted her to schedule an interview via Zoom. Ms. Stang graciously agreed and spoke with Mr. Bernier on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, sharing more information about Adrian’s Little Free Library and examples of how it has inspired a love of reading for Adrian Elementary students.
