With only a few weeks remaining in the 2020-21 school year, 6th graders in Ms. Julie Post’s Reading/ELA classroom have been engaged in small group learning designed to help them with their forthcoming transition to Memorial Junior High School. Ms. Post designed and implemented the small group focus after collaborating with Memorial teachers to identify ways to better prepare students for learning during the next step in their academic journey. The results have been extremely positive as each small group works efficiently. Ms. Post’s students are also taking ownership of their learning by taking turns being the leader of their specific small group! Thank you to Ms. Post for her dedication to ensuring her students have the skills and understanding to make a successful transition next school year!
