The South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools officially welcome Ms. Dawn Imler as the incoming principal of Rowland Elementary School. Ms. Imler replaces Maleeka Bussey, who now serves as Family and Community Engagement Coordinator at the Central Office. Dawn Imler has been with the SEL Schools since the Spring of 2019, first as a substitute administrator at Greenview Campus, and shortly thereafter took on a permanent role as a member of the 5th grade administrative team. Possessing over 27 years of experience in education, Ms. Imler spent the first three years of her career as a Physical Education teacher at Laurel School for grades PreK-12. Over the next twenty-one years, Ms. Imler taught Physical Education and later became a school administrator at several PreK-8 buildings in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Kent State University and earned a Master’s Degree in School Administration and completed the Principal Licensure Program at Cleveland State University, where she is currently enrolled in the School Superintendent Licensure Program.

Ms. Imler’s path to a career in education was paved by supportive teachers who helped her to discover her purpose. Throughout her career, first as a teacher, and now as an administrator, Ms. Imler lives out that purpose by helping students discover their own personal purpose and work towards achieving their goals. As the incoming principal at Rowland Elementary, Ms. Imler is focused on building relationships with and providing support and encouragement to all members of the Rowland community, including teachers, student, and families. The South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools proudly welcome Ms. Dawn Imler to her new role as principal at Rowland Elementary School.
