The South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools is proud to formally announce Mrs. Megan Young as the incoming principal of Greenview Middle School. Mrs. Young replaces Kelly Murphy, who recently announced her retirement after a dedicated 21-year career in education. Megan Young comes to the District after having spent the previous twenty-one years in the Lorain City Schools. During that time, she served for nine years as a classroom teacher of various grade levels, including grades 1,2, 6 and 7, one year as Assistant Principal / Reading Program Administrator, and eleven years as a Building Principal. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education along with a minor in Spanish from Bowling Green State University, and holds several graduate degrees, including a Masters in the Art of Education from Marygrove College and a Masters in Education Administration from Ashland University.
Mrs. Young was inspired to pursue a career in education by watching her mother’s example as a former Title 1 teacher and by working as a lifeguard where she enjoyed the opportunity to work with children and teach them how to swim. She is excited to join the Greenview Middle School staff and looks forward to listening to feedback and collaborating with all stakeholders to help students reach new levels of success. On behalf of the SEL Schools, welcome Mrs. Megan Young!
