New SEL Mascot Makes Debut at 2019 Convocation


The 2019 SEL Schools Convocation had an extra level of excitement due to the surprise debut of Brush High School’s new mascot, “Arcy” in the Performing Arts Center on Monday, August 12, 2019.  “Arcy” joined the Brush Marching Band and Cheerleading squad during their energized performance to kick-off the Convocation, drawing applause and cheers from the packed audience.  The new mascot will serve to generate a great deal of “Arc Pride” at future athletic events and through scheduled visits to each of the District’s school buildings!

Following the impressive performance, Superintendent Linda N. Reid took the opportunity to recognize all new teachers and staff and welcome them to the SEL Schools.  During her remarks, Superintendent Reid shared important initiatives the SEL Schools will seek to accomplish during the 2019-2020 school year and beyond.  The SEL Schools welcome back all teachers and staff for the 2019-2020 school year!  Students will begin school on Thursday, August 15, 2019.  Go Arcs!
