Adrian Gives Back with Canned Food Drive

Adrian Canned Food Drive

The students and staff at Adrian Elementary reflected the generous spirit of the holiday season by holding a successful canned food drive in the weeks leading up to Winter Break. Coordinated by Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Catherine Mack, the building-wide initiative took place between November 29th and December 17th and collected over nine hundred food donations! In addition to canned and boxed foods, the drive also collected can openers and other related products that will help families to prepare donated food items during the holidays. Mrs. Mack prepared and distributed a flyer detailing the list of products for Adrian families to donate, including items requested by local food banks. All the donations will be delivered to the South Euclid United Church of Christ which partners with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. As a fun way to promote the canned food drive, the classroom which donates the most food items will earn a class party! Congratulations to the students, staff, and families at Adrian Elementary for their generous support of local families in-need this holiday season!
