Career Technical Education (CTE) Student Earns Top Sponsorship for Innovative Non-Profit

December 8, 2024 -- Riley Mills, Brush High School senior in the Excel TECC Marketing program at Beachwood High School, recently had the opportunity to pitch her Junior Achievement company, Hope Heroes Ohio, to Tim Smucker, former CEO of The J.M. Smucker Company.

The meeting, held at Smucker’s corporate headquarters in Orrville, Ohio, showcased the student-led non-profit’s mission to harness the healing power of dogs by supporting facility and therapy dog programs in hospital systems across Northeast Ohio.

Riley and her teammates were honored to secure the top sponsorship level of $10,000 from Tim and Jenny Smucker! Congratulations to this talented student and her team for their innovation and success!

Sophomore students can explore all CTE programs now during the Excel TECC World Tour of Open Houses - applications for next year are available beginning on December 13.
