District Welcomes New K-12 Families

New family orientation

The SEL Schools proudly welcomed new families to the district during a K-12 New Family Orientation event on Wednesday, August 10th in the Performing Arts Center at Brush High School. Superintendent Dr. Linda N. Reid began the program by introducing herself and providing an overview of the district’s mission, vision, and core beliefs. During her remarks, Dr. Reid highlighted several of the diverse opportunities available to students that will help to prepare them for and reach their career destinations. Families in attendance also learned helpful information related to safety and security initiatives, classroom technology, student services and supports, transportation, school meals, and athletics from district administrators.

Following the main presentation, families exited the Performing Arts Center to browse tables featuring additional information, school supplies, and official ARCS gear. District staff were also on-hand to greet students and families and answer questions. Families and students also had the opportunity to meet their building administrators during various meet and greet activities located throughout the High School. Following the orientation, families enjoyed a delicious frozen treat and walked over to Korb Field to cheer on the Lady Arcs soccer team. The SEL Schools once again proudly welcomes all new K-12 families to The Destination School Community!
