The Board of Education of the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools unanimously approved the hiring of Mike Fording as the new principal of Charles F. Brush High School effective August 1st, 2022. 

 

“The South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools is excited to welcome Mike Fording as the new principal at Charles F. Brush High School,” said Superintendent Dr. Linda N. Reid. “Parent, student and staff feedback revealed the most important traits desired from our next principal, and Mr. Fording emerged as a perfect fit to lead our high school into a new era.” 

 

The approval of Mike Fording by the Board comes as the result of a comprehensive search which was conducted in partnership with Finding Leaders over the last several months, and which gathered input through surveys to Brush students, parents, and staff regarding what our school family wanted from their next principal.  Mr. Fording demonstrated those desired characteristics, including excellent communication skills, accessibility, a collaborative leadership style and innovative thinker, and emerged as the best candidate to form positive relationships, navigate challenging situations, and possess a strong work ethic. Mike Fording joins Charles F. Brush High School after a long career in public education and building administration, having most recently served as Principal of Garfield Heights Middle School and Assistant Principal at Garfield Heights High School. He was approved for a three-year contract at the Board Meeting on Tuesday, April 19th. The Charles F. Brush High School family will hear more from Mike Fording and have the opportunity to meet him as we approach his official start date of August 1st.
