South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools Tout Report Card Gains

The South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools is excited to share the results of the latest state report card data, and the specific gains made by students in our district over the last school year. Reporting performance metrics for the 2021-2022 school year, the SEL Schools made the most significant improvements in Gap Closing, where the district earned a full 5 stars, and Progress, which measured 4 stars out of five. Gap Closing is a criteria component which provides a picture of closing the gap in performance and achievement among subgroups in our student body, while diligently addressing absenteeism among our student population. The Progress component looks closely at the growth that all students are making based on their past performances.
“The significance of achieving 5 and 4 stars respectively in these two components lays an important groundwork for improvement in other areas of the report card, such as graduation, achievement and early literacy,” according to SEL Schools Superintendent Dr. Linda N. Reid. “The District has a three-year plan that will continue our students on a path of progress in growth and achievement.”

The South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools commends the students, staff, families, and support networks that have helped to make gains by scoring a 5 in the Gap Closing metric, and a 4 on the Progress component of the state report card a true accomplishment. More detailed information on the SEL Schools’ performance, and the state’s new star-rating evaluation tool will be forthcoming in the near future. Until then, thank you for your continued support of the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools. Go Arcs.
