Miniature Horse Program at Sunview

Miniature Horse

Students in a Sunview Elementary classroom received a unique and friendly four-legged visitor in the form of a miniature horse on Thursday, April 28th. The visit was part of the Mobile Mini Program provided by Fieldstone Farm; a therapeutic riding center located in Chagrin Falls. During the program, students were able to pet the miniature horse and participated in an interactive anatomy lesson led by the trainer where they learned about the heart, lungs, and digestive organs of a horse in comparison to a human. Students were excited for the opportunity to meet the miniature horse and participate in the mobile therapeutic program which helps to spread relaxation, happiness, and other positive benefits to schools, hospitals, and other organizations around Northeast Ohio. Sponsored through the generosity of an anonymous Sunview parent, the Mobile Mini Program will be visiting several Sunview classrooms this school year, with the hope that additional visits will be made available during the 2022-23 school year. On behalf of the SEL Schools, thank you to our families for their support and dedication which helps to make the above program and many other learning opportunities available to students.
