MJH Celebrates 2nd Quarter Achievements

MJH Celebrates 2nd quarter awards

Memorial Junior High School hosted a ceremony in the new gym on Thursday, January 26th to recognize those students who demonstrated excellence in the areas of academics and school attendance during the second grading quarter. Academic award categories included Honor Roll (3.5-4.0 GPA) and Merit Roll (3.0-3.49 GPA). At the 7th grade awards ceremony, fifty students achieved Honor Roll status, including eight who earned an impressive 4.0 GPA (all A’s), in addition to thirty-five students who attained Merit Roll status. During the 8th grade awards ceremony, forty-one students made Honor Roll while forty-five received Merit Roll certificates. A total of twenty 7th grade students and twenty-two 8th grade students were recognized for achieving perfect attendance during the second quarter. 

Students were congratulated and handed a certificate by several MJH and district staff members, including Guidance Counselors Jennifer Kennicutt (8th grade) and Kris Durkin (7th grade), Assistant Principals Rob Atwood and Dave Capretta, and School Resource Officer Joe DiLillo. SEL Special Education Office members Amanda Morris and Jen Moles were also in attendance to provide encouragement and recognition. Congratulations to all MJH students who were recognized during the 2nd Quarter Awards Ceremony!
