MJH Student Council Members Recognized

MJH Student Council Awards Banquet

The Memorial Junior High School Student Council concluded another year of service and promoting positivity and school spirit with an awards banquet on Friday, May 12th in the Media Center. Students enjoyed pizza, cake, and other refreshments as advisor Jen Heitman announced the names of award recipients and the number of service hours they had completed. This year, MJH Student Council was proud to feature eleven students who earned National Recognition from the National Association of Student Councils for their exceptional dedication to service and leadership. Each of the recipients earned between 38-50 total hours of service time this school year. Congratulations to Alaura Liddell, Braylon Clark, Brooklyn Cook, Brooklyn Stewart, Courtney Thomas, Geoffrey Fitch, Jr., Mackenzi Griffin, Mia Peppin, Michelle Lorton, Isaiah Gaskin, and Reagan Shelby on their proud accomplishment! All eleven students received a medal and certificate in recognition of this award and will have their names displayed on an official plaque in Columbus, OH and in the National Student Council Newsletter for the month of June. Of the remaining student council members, approximately 92% completed over twenty service hours and were awarded a medal by the National Association of Student Councils. All remaining student council members also received a certificate for their service throughout the year. Congratulations to the members of the MJH Student Council for their dedicated service on behalf of their school and community!
