The Larry Cirillo Science Wing

Larry Cirillo

At the Board Meeting on Tuesday, Memorial Junior High School formally dedicated the science wing in honor of the permanent legacy of Larry Cirillo, who truly invested his life to educating, inspiring, and empowering many generations of students and the community of the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools. In a career that spanned a total of nearly 50 years in education, Larry Cirillo truly embodied the value of educational leadership and industriousness. For 38 years, he called Memorial Junior High School and the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools home. In that time, Mr. Cirillo enriched the lives of students, families and staff in our school district fulfilling many different responsibilities. Beginning in the classroom as a devoted science teacher, he helped to foster a love for research, experimentation and study. He then became Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Principal of the building. Even after his retirement from the SEL Schools, he continued educating and inspiring the community through a variety of local organizations. He is a titan of educational leadership in the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools, and the school district and community commemorate his service with the naming on this wing, in his honor.
